Major Focus: Lead projects to assist in the cost-effective design and development of new products, improvements of existing products, test equipment and other related design initiatives. Serve the design needs of the sales operations team. Rapidly develop and design equipment, products and processes that support projects with focus on exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Major Challenges:
Create concepts, 3D models, and necessary detail drawings related to projects, completing necessary tolerance studies and utilizing GD&T and sound engineering judgement.
Work collaboratively with engineers, scientists, supply chain, and customers to understand and define product parameters.
Support transfer of products from development into production and sales.
Support existing product families through Document Change Requests and Engineering Change Notices.
Use statistical tools for analysis when appropriate.
Write reports to document completed development efforts as needed.

Defining all quality and manufacturing requirements prior to transferring a product/technology into production.
Prioritizing between multiple stakeholders to achieve deliverables in timely manner.
Incorporate additive manufacturing techniques into 3D Printed models.
Ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously standardizing and improving document control processes.
Achieving 48 hour average design turnaround times.

Expected Performance Outcomes:
Required Experience:
Reduce queue time for new design requests to < 48 hrs.
Maintain and improve document control system.
BS, MS degree in Mechanical Engineering / Design Engineering is required.
2 years minimum Creo or Solidworks experience.
1yr experience working directly with customers on designs/projects.
Proven success in meeting project timelines and deliverables.
3-D Solid modeling, CFD/FEA modeling experience preferred.
