Job description:

The Manufacturing and Inventory Coordinator is accountable for inventory management, shipping improvements, and training as well as assisting the Plant Manager and supporting the Production staff to improve operations and work flow processes where needed with small projects and daily and weekly safety tasks.

*Job Responsibilities and Activities*:

Inventory Management:

  • Responsible for daily entering of Fill Forms into Chempax for orders to allocate product and lot #’s and for invoicing of orders and samples.
  • Responsible to update everyone at the Daily Production Meeting on the status of filling and re-packaging products to orders and samples.
  • Responsible for understanding inventory movements in Chempax.
  • Responsible for monthly inventory reports, evaluations, and improvements.
  • Responsible to investigate any inventory discrepancies & implement solutions.
  • Responsible for identifying and consolidating gallons, pails, and partial drums to minimize inventory and refresh product by having operators bulk back into batches.
  • Responsible for leading the annual physical inventory and assisting in entering tags.
  • Backup for Batch Ticket process from creation, yield forms, packaging type, closure, etc.
  • Backup for production scheduling and raw material inventory.


  • Responsible for implementing and improving the Pick List.
  • Review and sign-off the pick list for each order.
  • Work with the Production Supervisor and Shipping Lead to develop a weekly Filling & Sampling plan to meet the shipment schedule with daily progess updates.
  • Responsible for Customer Complaints resolutions, Returns, and Packaging issues.
  • Become the Back-up to Shipping Lead for UPS and FedEx shipments and software.
  • Responsible for Product and Packaging Labeling.
  • Responsible for operations and work flow process improvements between Production, Filling, Shipping and with the Front Office (Ordering) and the Lab.
  • Assist when needed in the Warehouse for shipping, receiving, and filling.


  • Responsible for developing training material to document filling, packaging, labeling, and shipping procedures with written instructions, examples, posters, etc.
  • Assist with programs, inspections, and training for OSHA, safety, wastes, forklifts, etc.

You should be comfortable juggling multiple projects in a high energy environment both in the office and on the warehouse floor. You should have the ability to drive issues to root causes and to implement long-term solutions. Knowledge of inventory and ERP computer systems as well as shipping and receiving departments. Excellent communication skills with experience interfacing with cross-functional teams and plant floor workers.


Experience with Inventory and ERP computer systems, such as Chempax (preferred) and SAP.

Experience with Shipping and Receiving

College degree or relevant experience

Project Management skills

Previous forklift experience and/or certification is preferred

General knowledge of manufacturing, chemicals, and warehousing

PPE & Hazmat awareness and training

Knowledge of UPS/FedEx shipping software

Strong attention to detail

Good interpersonal skills to function in a team environment

Display a willingness, aptitude, and self-discipline to learn and work

Work independently, Proactive taking initiative, Reliable
