*Overview*
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal/ Junior Attorney to join our legal team. If the applicant is a licensed attorney, there is the opportunity to take over the legal practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including Veterans law, licensing law, and Misc. law. As a Senior Paralegal/ Junior Attorney, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, assisting in complex cases, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
*Responsibilities*
- Provide comprehensive legal writing and representation to clients in veterans and licensing law areas.
- Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including administrative briefs, appellate briefs at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
- Oversee the work of junior attorneys and paralegals, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records using document management systems to ensure efficient case management.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored legal solutions.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism in all communications, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Work closely with senior attorney/owner in all areas of practice.
- Assist in forensic pschological matters.
*Skills*
- Proven experience in executive administrative support within a legal environment.
- Strong proofreading skills with an eye for detail in legal documentation.
- Expertise in veterans law, and licensing law is highly desirable.
- Proficient in legal case management practices and tools.
- Familiarity with document management systems for efficient organization of case files.
- Excellent research skills to support case development and strategy formulation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
