Event Print Solutions dba Generation 3 - Machesney Park, IL


At Generation 3, the Program Production Artist implements design specifications for publications weekly by applying images, pdf files, excel documents, word documents, advertisements…etc. to building pages for multiple event publications. The Program Production Artist provides back-up support to the Senior Designer for completing creative projects and maintaining consistency with established work.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • building and versioning assigned pages for printed event programs
  • ensuring the accurate design execution of printed event programs
  • providing back-up support to the Senior Designer to complete in-flight projects
  • managing special creative services related assignments
  • dedicating time to innovation and quality improvement

Required Qualifications: Associate degree in a Graphics field, or equivalent experience

  • entry-level Graphic Design experience including internships and college coursework
  • knowledge of established creative/design standards and principles
  • knowledge and mastery of 4-color process printing, pre-press file preparation, image retouching, and print industry technology
  • basic knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) software functionality and its contents related to assets and file management
  • knowledge of Mac OS
  • be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Word)
  • excellent time management/organizational skills
  • skilled in all phases of the execution of mechanicals and graphics production
  • skilled in typography, layout, and composition
  • proficient and technically sound in industry standard design software applications, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop
  • basic skills in Adobe Illustrator
