Our centers host urologic physicians with seven at North Knoxville Medical Center/Park West/Lenoir City, six at Oak Ridge/Harriman/Clinton, and five at Turkey Creek/Park West/South Knoxville, as well as other midlevel providers and assistants throughout our various locations. Our dedicated medical staff serves patients in Knoxville and surrounding areas providing variety of services ranging from cancer treatment to infertility. Our physicians are board certified and participate in continued education to ensure that we stay ahead of advancing techniques and solutions.

We are seeking a qualified full-time Cytotechnologist for our Pathology Lab located in Oak Ridge, TN. This position is responsible for microscopically examining preparations for cytologic evaluation, correlating clinical information with morphologic findings on cytologic slides, and rendering a microscopic assessment on non-gynecologic specimens pending final diagnosis by a pathologist. The hours would be M-F from approximately 8-4PM.

Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:
Perform FISH tests.

Screens and interprets cytologic specimens for benign and neoplastic processes under the supervision of the pathologists.

Prepares and processes Cytology specimens.

Convey reports to clinicians and maintain department documentation.

Performs quality control procedures per protocol and completes necessary documentation.

Document all diagnoses in Vital Axis.

Conduct QA correlation review.

Assists supervisor in meeting department regulatory agency requirements (CLIA, etc.)

Cytotechnologist Requirements:
B.S. in Biological Science or related degree.

Minimum of one year experience in a Cytology position.

ASCP certification in cytotechnology is required.

FISH testing experience highly desirable.
