We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Systems Analyst.
This position acts as a seasoned professional providing advanced expertise in a complex professional discipline. Selects, customizes, configures, installs and supports packages. Understands the work processes of assigned business areas. Collect user requirements and translates them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems. Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information. Works independently with limited work direction. Work is reviewed periodically and on an exception basis.
Performs design documentation, software programming implementation planning, training, hardware installation, software installation, and go-live support that will take place under Corporate Systems oversight and direction to achieve NYU user acceptance and sign-off for all deliverables.
Determines operational feasibility by designing system specifications and utilizing programming techniques, and computing equipment;
Leads to create scaleable, automated solutions for interfaces between different systems.
Defining and conducting system tests and system validation.
Perform hardware installation and setup tasks, when necessary to meet schedule commitments.
Facilitates internal and external meetings to document workflow, and record decisions, risks, issues, and action items; monitors completion of action items and risk mitigation plans • Establishes and manages effective relationships with NYU site subject matter experts
Serves as the interface between onsite client managers, vendor partner Project Managers.
Mentor/consult with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues.
May provide feedback/influence change in internal and/or vendor-provided products/service offerings.
Participate and take lead roles in complex project tasks across technology/ customer’s end user’s areas. Provide status of tasks inside/outside responsibility areas.
Influence with customers and partners on a broad range of technical and operational topics.
Manages site implementation teams consisting of NYU employees and vendor partners; directs daily work activities/priorities.
Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to implement software solutions.
Applies deep and broad technical background and knowledge of industry trends to operate several critical or high risk technology areas/customer groups.
Proactively look for solutions to prevent complex problems from occurring across teams/technologies.
Trusted advisor to the customers and/or internal businesses/end users, and stakeholders.
Mentors less-experienced staff with responsibilities relating to support of the research mission.
Commits to deliverables with customers and/or management and meets project deadlines.
Anticipates implementation obstacles and provides feedback during project planning to ensure successful rollout.
Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems and conducts complete diagnostics of most business problems.
Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements of clinical research systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have a BA/BS degree or equivalent and 7 or more years of experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
