Full Job Description
The Wittenberg University Co-Ed Cheerleading Club is seeking a qualified volunteer coach to help lead the team in competition and practices.
Essential duties include:
As outlined with club officers, preside over camps, practices, games, and related activities and provide leadership, guidance and counsel to all team members.
Ensure safety precautions and necessary training is in place for all members.
Attend team meetings.
Serve as a mediator/moderator among team members if there are any discrepancies, arguments, disagreements, etc. Support the club officers in addressing club issues.
Adhere to all university policies and procedures including but not limited to the Student Organization Manual and Student Handbook.
Advise student leaders regarding administrative documentation maintenance, budget oversight, fundraising, and coordination with vendors such as Varsity.
Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Wittenberg University.
Support the team Captains and officers in their planning of organization recruitment.
Support the officers and Captains in membership processes (in-person, virtual, etc).
Coordinate gymnastics training, strength training, conditioning programs and any competition attendance.
With the club officers and Captains assist in the development of routines, cheers, sidelines, and stunt groups.
This is a volunteer position. No compensation or benefits are provided. This position is for the 2020-2021 academic year and will be renewed annually upon review.
We are seeking applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent degree and cheer and coaching experience. Candidates must have experience coaching stunting and must have or work to become certified in USA Cheer appropriate coaching and stunting certifications. Candidates must be AACCA safety certified.

This position is a volunteer coaching role to support club officers and captains in their leadership and learning experience leading the Wittenberg Co-Ed Cheerleading Club.
