This Deputy Project Manager (DPM) will be a valued member of the Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) team. The DPM will work collaboratively with the client and various vendors to lead the Independent Validation & Verification (IV&V) of major enhancements to the MMIS including the CMS Certification of one or more select Modules. The DPM will work to ensure that the clients business needs are met by assessing if the project artifacts are meeting the client’s requirements as well as providing valuable business and technical subject matter expertise through consultation with the client.

The candidate will lead a team business and technical analysts performing IV&V tasks by collecting and analyzing information to ensure requirements and business needs are met during major enhancements of the MMIS. In addition, the candidate will lead the IV&V responsibilities associated with the CMS Certification of one or more MMIS Modules. In addition, you will work directly with the vendors, business users and the client to provide recommendations to the project team on project issues, risks and direction.

Additional duties include:
Client relationship and expectation management including working daily with key client leadership
Develop client deliverables in accordance with project requirements and company documentation standards
Provide recommendations to the client on critical business and project decisions
Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams
Perform Periodic Assessment Activities
Develop and submit the CMS IV&V Progress Reports quarterly or as required by CMS
Assessment & Validation of Operational artifacts needed for CMS Certification
Deelop client deliverables in accordance with project requirements and company documentation standards
Review and assess project schedules and project management plans for quality, completeness, compliance, and effectiveness
Idetify and report project issues and risks
Attend project and status meetings
Interface with client, vendor, and business users
Research and provide recommendations to the client on CMS Certification process
Collaborate with other team members to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicable
Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
Employee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their Manager

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum five (5) years of experience
PMP Certification
Five Years IT Project Management Experience
Ten years Medicaid Experience
Ten years state MMIS Experience
Three Years Modular MMIS Planning and Procurement Support Experience
Project Quality Assurance & Assessment Experience
Knowledge of CMS MECT
Experience providing evaluation services and/or project auditing, in Human Services or Healthcare IT industry
Experience in business and/or technical analysis
Candidates that do not meet the minimum qualifications will not be considered.
