The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. This position supervises various contracting crews, including construction crews, janitors and building maintenance personnel.

Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
Plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
Prepares budgets and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed.
Engage, contract, supervise and approve invoices for all goods/services required to maintain the properties up to company and owner standards.
Inspects construction and installation progress.
Initiates planned maintenance programs for a variety of office equipment.
Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime and call-in hours.
Coaches, counsels and manages performance of direct reports.
Oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facility.
Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
Arranges for and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed.
Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices.
Liaison with other disciplines/departments within the company to provide a team approach to the management of real estate. Coordinate the activities not directly controlled by the manager but directly related to each property i.e.: production of sales statements, insurance monitoring, leasing, marketing and promotions, capital improvements, accounting/financial reporting and legal services.
Supervise on-site maintenance mechanics, if utilized at assigned properties.
Develop specifications and continually evaluate service needs and performance in all areas of maintenance and management.
Forecast and manage replacement of major capital expense items including HVAC system, roof systems, parking lot surfaces, etc.

BS or associate degree with technical training in facilities management.
Minimum of five to eight years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field, two of which were holding a supervisory position directing a multifunctional maintenance staff.
Facilities management experience in the biotech and manufacturing industry.
