The Investment Banking Division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. IBD interacts extensively with all parts of the firm, providing an outstanding platform to learn from working with bankers across all product areas and industry groups.

We’re looking for a highly motivated Analyst to join the newly established IBD Client Marketing & Communications team. The Client Marketing & Communications team will align closely with IBD industry groups to best position the Goldman Sachs IBD franchise via communication to clients around GS deal activity, industry trends and insights from our people. The team uses a variety of mediums including email marketing, video content, and traditional and social media, working closely with the Executive Office’s Brand & Content Strategy team.

Responsibilities include:
Support senior team managing creation of:
Transaction-based marketing content for IBD clients, in close coordination with IBD client coverage teams
Thematic content, focused on sharing the firm’s ideas and insights on the global M&A and financing markets as well as other topics of interest for the IBD client base
Assist with management and distribution of IBD sub-sector client mailers
Assist in maintenance of key messages/talking points for each IBD industry group
Work closely with EO Brand & Content team to source and develop Thought Leadership content for promotion through internal and external channels, including video, podcasts, social media
Establish and maintain ongoing reporting for regular contact clean up / scrubbing exercise
Execute creation and distribution of content via CRM system (Salesforce/Adobe)
Assist with tracking of marketing reach and impact via open rates, anecdotal client feedback
Support IBD event strategy to maximize commercial impact (targeting, execution, enhancing strategy)

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 1 year related work in finance, journalism or communications
Client service orientation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-starting, highly proactive person who demonstrates initiative and ownership and can work with little direction on assignments
Fast learner, ability to leverage personal and organizational network to drive results
Ability to review and synthesize information and form independent judgments
Interest in the financial markets and investment products
Impeccable attention to detail, particularly in written communications
Investment Banking experience a plus
Experience with email marketing campaign software a plus
