Summary of Duties: The Assistant Nurse Manager is a front line manager responsible for the clinical management of a specified nursing unit with 8-12 hour responsibility and accountability for staff function and patient care activities. May also be assigned other duties as required.
Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current CA RN license required. AHA BLS required. NRP certification required. Assistant Nursing Management certification required.
Experience Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in clinical nursing practice with a minimum of two (2) years experience required. Additional one (1) year experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager in specialty area required.
Special Skills or Abilities: Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, management skills, and leadership qualities. Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
