Role Summary:
The Communication Specialist will support development and implementation of global employee communications strategy for the Nuclear business.

Essential Responsibilities:As the Communications Specialist, you will:
Develop and execute strategic employee communications plans
Act as a communication counsel to internal business partners to ensure consistent messaging across the business
Be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Nuclear intranet site, the bi-weekly employee newsletter “The Nuclear Report,” and other communications mediums in support of organization communications efforts
Develop and distribute written and video safety and compliance related communications in support of business priorities
Develop digital, broadcast, online, print, in person communications vehicles in support of the strategy
Build, align and manage manager communications for employee groups
Develop power point presentations, visuals and other collaterals on a variety of subject matter
Support the Communications Leader in organizing All Hands Employee Meetings, Town Hall events and other employee events in partnership with Human Resources

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or related field from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, and/or related field)
Minimum of 3 years corporate communications, public relations / agency experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a journalism or media relations role

Desired Characteristics:
Experience communicating to geographically dispersed groups of employees in a variety of professional and technical fields
Experience communicating significant organizational changes and restructurings through multiple levels of organizations, including manufacturing, professional and remotely-located work-groups
Strong writing and presentation skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, and present compelling stories for a wide range of audiences
Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments
Ability to effectively operate in a matrix organization
Strong process and project management skills
Ability to translate business goals into employee communications
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work
Broad knowledge of print, video and digital media technologies
Competent in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel and familiar with web publishing technologies like WordPress
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Internal communication experience in a corporate setting
Experience directly supporting senior business executives
Established planning, organizational, and execution ability
Proven facilitation ability
