Job Description

Toomey Technologies has an immediate oprning for a Senior Systems Engineer. The qualified candidate will provide System Engineering and Technical Assistance. The primary objectives of this effort are to assist agency staff in the areas of facilitating exploitation of intelligence information and capabilities from national and theater systems to support tactical commanders.

Responsibilities

Prepare decision justification materials, prepare design studies to identify and address program/project capability gaps, prepare analysis of alternatives and recommendations for decision, and prepare study results for presentation to leadership.
Help develop a Systems Engineering Management Plan which addresses the overall systems engineering management approach.
Review and comment on the accuracy and completeness of documentation used to justify government objectives or requirements.
Participate in and provide recommendation for acceptance or rejection of program reviews to include Software Specification Reviews (SSR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
Draft proposed acquisition strategies and cost estimates to facilitate program milestone execution.
Draft program documentation, System specification, and Concept of Operations (CONOPs).Recommend acceptance or rejection of project review and trade studies, test plans and procedures, and test reports.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship Required
Active TS/SCI clearance required
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
15 years total experience with progressively complex experience in design, development, integration, and testing of DoD or Intelligence systems
7+ years of experience with systems engineering and design for DoD or Intelligence programs
5+ years in systems engineering lead position; managing a technical team
Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
Ability to be accomplishment–oriented, a team player, and an individual contributor
Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, be proactive, and assume additional responsibility and accountability
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with military engineering or military systems software
Experience with Distributed Common Ground System.
Experience with Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT).

The position requires an active Top Secret/SCI.
