This position is responsible for the digital modernization of Manufacturing, Warehousing and Logistics functions of the end to end Supply Chain. Working with key stakeholders in the Coca-Cola system and with the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team, the role is responsible to create a digital architecture and a roadmap to modernize these areas. This role is meant to drive the both the evaluation and selection of the indicators that add value to the business, how to collect and transmit this data effectively and economically and most importantly how to use the information at relevant areas of the business.
Location is flexible, role can be located anywhere globally.
Position Overview:
The role shall consolidate from the experiences of the system and build a detailed recommendation for a world class digital platform for a lean manufacturing and supply chain. Whilst the role shall have a strong leading role in the recommendation of an IT and OT architecture the more important aspect will be determining the most effective methods to use the information gained. Using SME’s from the functional areas to develop rules for evaluation and automated advice to operational staff or to the use of AI to extract insights not available manually.
This role will ensure all aspects of their strategic plan fit seamlessly into the digital modernization strategy giving end-to-end clarity for effective business decisions.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a network of stakeholders in the bottling and OU network in the manufacturing and supply chain area
Work with the supply chain leadership team and other functions to understand the business areas that need to be digitized
Create an active list of the best methods to capture data to give the KPI needs
Evaluate the options for network architecture and build a recommendation considering performance, cost, and security.
Lead the collation of the best tools to evaluate and give insights form the collected data. This to include tools that can give instructions to operators or line management through to using Machine Learning / AI for more complex evaluation and recommendation.
Drive implementation towards the future state digital environment for processes in manufacturing, logistics, distribution equipment and support the overall digitalization of supply chain.
Develop and own the execution of strategic IOT roadmap for assigned clusters. Drive continuous productivity improvement and overall COGS reduction for the KO system by implementing such roadmap.
Develop specifications and standards to streamline the use of digital tools.
Leverage 3rd party or external expertise to develop disruptive Digital tools to support manufacturing and process technology for better competitive advantage for KO (Coca-Cola) system.
Work with OEMs to establish standards that will enable connectivity and data collection in an accurate, cost effective and free way that allows us to select and manage data collection to drive business opportunities
Partner with R&D and Innovation to provide guidance and governance on digitalization of manufacturing and process technology elements for new product launches.
Manage the digital solutions such that the systems or the best practices or insights are easily transferable. This can be via creation of digital tools for sharing or by standardizing digital solutions.
Create tools to support capability development in these functional areas.
Ensure robust and effective change management tools used to ensure acceptance and utilization of these new tools
Education Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering
Degree in Industrial Automation or Digitization
Related Work Experience:
7 - 10 years manufacturing and process technology, preferably in the beverage industry in manufacturing, Warehouse, or logistics area
Ideally as expert in some part of the SC system
Experience in leading continuous improvement in beverage industry, includes production, warehousing, and transportation
5+ years’ experience designing, implementing, and operating a digital management system for the SC area
Experience in the development of rules based automation systems or notification systems to guide corrective actions
Experience in the design and use of ML / AI systems
Requires deep understanding on technical data processes, key drivers, and system knowledge.
Requires deep understanding of IOT use and application in SC
Strong understanding, agility, and learning focus for data analytics and visualization
Advanced project management ability to lead high profile projects that involve cross functional teams, includes internal and external partners.
Deep demonstrated experience and application of formal process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
Comprehensive understanding of newest technology development and its application
