How you’ll make a difference in this role:
In this role, you will provide outreach and linkage through direct contact with consumers, families and essential others in their natural environment, within the community, and the courthouse.
You will serve as a consumer advocate, acting in the consumer’s best interest at all times; attend Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) development and review meetings; coordinate and monitor appropriateness of all services; provide assistance in crisis situations to stabilize consumer and maintain consumer in the least restrictive treatment setting; provide emergency services; conduct emergency intakes and complete assessments; record consumer progress; and analyze and recommend new programs.
You will provide behavioral health consultations for any court-involved youth, families and essential others in the consumer’s natural environment (home, school, community, etc.); provide individual, family and group interventions; provide guidance to court staff, Magistrate, or Judge regarding access to services and/or treatment recommendations; attend court hearings, probation meetings with youth, and probation staffing meetings as requested; facilitate re-entry needs of youth returning home from detention, residential or DYS (Department of Youth Services) placement.
Who are you?
A passionate and caring professional who has attained both their Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other other related Human Services field, and LSW. You must have at least one year experience working with at-risk youth. You must also have a valid Ohio driver’s license and CPR/First Aid Certification. Verification of current licensure or licensure status a must.
