MSG Networks is seeking a talented Social Media Coordinator to implement marketing strategies across its social media channels. This role will help drive interest to MSG Networks social platforms by developing original content, as well as build communication strategies for fans and consumers of multiple sport franchises, including the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Islanders and the New Jersey Devils. The ideal candidate will also collaborate with other divisions across the organization to execute MSG Network brand initiatives to meet set goals, while maintaining and attracting new audiences.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
Manage multiple social accounts through native platforms and/or social media management systems
Develop social media strategies to support network programming, stunts and other special events
Create social media promotions for all sports franchises, and original and acquired programming with strong creative writing and media creation
Maintain an editorial calendar to be shared and communicated with all key stakeholders
Help determine key performance indicators and establish metrics for tracking reach, engagement and impression
Use analytic tools to determine the effectiveness of social strategies and track overall performance
Attend team and networks events to capture social content to post live or bank for future distribution
Work collaboratively with digital, production and creative teams to ideate and produce social content
Collaborate with partners to develop strategic marketing plans for a wider distribution of co-branded content
Monitor and track industry trends, while staying on top of new innovations, social marketing strategies and data reporting
Interface with other departments across the organizations, including team marketeers, publicity, sales, and sponsorships
Bachelor’s degree or a related field
Previous relevant work experience (including internships)
Strong knowledge of social media tools including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube
Knowledge of basic content management systems and data measurement using analytical tools
Very strong written and oral communication skills
Proactive creative thinker constantly focused on growth
Flexible schedule to adhere to team timetables
Self-driven with the ability to prioritize workload and work independently
Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
