Job Title: Cyber Security / Information Assurance Engineer

Exeter is seeking a Cyber Security/ Information Assurance Engineer (IAE) in support of System of Systems Engineering and Integration Office and Cybersecurity Division. Duties include implementing the DoD Assess and Authorize (A&A) process IAW DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT) for any and all Program-owned Information Systems (IS) and all Program-managed ISs. The IAE will implement and in some cases oversee the system owners’ implementation of the RMF process. The RMF process will be implemented and maintained in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (EMASS) NIPR and SIPR instances. The IAE will generate Executive reports through EMASS and made available to the ISs appointed Authorizing Official (AO) and the Program Information Systems Security Manager (P-ISSM), upon request via the report format requested by the AO/P-ISSM. Reports will be generated at a minimum on a monthly basis. The IAE will maintain the current Access database to track accreditation/authorization for systems participating in the Network Integration Evaluation (NIE). The IAE will implement the Army Certificate of Networthiness (CON)/Assess only process IAW DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT) for all Program-owned IS/Applications and all Program-Managed IS/Applications. The CON status of all will be maintained and made available to the appointed AO and IAPM. The IAE will serve as the organization’s Coordination Point for the DoD and Army’s Cybersecurity Inspection Program (CSIP)/Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) programs IAW CJCSI 6510.01 Information Assurance (IA) and Support to Computer Network Defense (CND). The IAE will participate in work groups at intervals determined by CIO/G6.
Additional details of position will be provided to qualified applicants. Periodic travel to military installations throughout CONUS will be required (Approximately 10% travel).
Secret clearance is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Bachelor of Science degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
5 years of relevant experience in DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) / Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and implementation of technical controls.
DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT Level II) Certification required. Must be IAT-III within 180 days of employment (CISSP Certification, CCNP-Security, CASP, or similar certifications)
Technical understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model in relation to meeting DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) Networthiness/Net-Ready requirements.
Hands on experience with tools such as Retina, NMap, Nessus, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Host Based Security System (HBSS).
Experience testing and implementing DoD STIGs and devising mitigation strategies, applying Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) patches to systems and complete security compliance scans upon applying patches or updates to the system.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, providing IA guidance to other engineers.
Good understanding of SDLC process in a DoD environment.
Optional (But highly desired):
Prior IA experience in support of Army PEO IEWS, PEO WIN-T or CERDEC.
Understanding of relevant Army/DOD stakeholder organizations,
Existing professional relationships with Army PEO IEW&S / CERDEC stakeholders.
