Summary

This position is located in the Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services, Global Financial Systems Support Division, Office of Global Financial Management Systems Directorate. The incumbent will serve as an expert on the department's financial management systems and on the financial management principles, practices and guidelines.

If eligible, applicants to this announcement may be referred to other positions in other Bureaus/Offices in the Department.

Responsibilities
Develops financial management systems policies, procedures and technical documentation.
Conducts user trainings on the Financial Management Systems and Reports Management Systems.
Advices on the requirements of financial management laws, regulations and policies.
Researches policy issues involving unusual or controversial situations.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience designing and implementing agency-wide business and financial management information systems.
Experience interpreting and analyzing financial management principles, practices, laws and regulations.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
