Business Analyst

The Neat Company has an opening for a Business Analyst to support the development and launch of leading edge cloud-based or SaaS solutions that provide small business bookkeeping automation solutions. We are seeking a technology savvy thinker who is looking for the opportunity to make an impact within a dynamic company focused on serving the needs of small business owners and their employees. This position will report to the Director of Product Management and will work closely with software development, marketing, sales and customer support team members.

Participate in customer interviews and design sessions to gather customer requirements
Synthesize customer requirements garnered from emerging support issues and customer interviews into user stories, wireframes and workflow diagrams. Author user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
Collaborate with product development, managers and user experience designers to build new product features and enhancements
Help define the product roadmap based on product strategy, customer pain points, competitor analysis, customer feedback, regulatory constraints and operational needs
Create business cases, detailed product specifications, working with design stakeholders, usability and engineering
Coordinate with developers to resolve production issues / identify root cause of emerging issues
Help to develop and prioritize backlog of requirements, user stories and product issues
Facilitate stakeholder communication and ROI measurement of product metrics based on analytics, customer surveys, etc.
3 to 5 years in a relevant and/or comparable role within a small to medium-sized software product or services company
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with minimal direct supervision
Strong communication skills: written, verbal and formal presentation
Ability to translate business requirements into terms that developers and testers can understand
Experience with JIRA administration and Agile product lifecycle management
Experience writing product requirements
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or relatable computer software-related domain experience
