About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. The Systems Analyst is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The Systems Analyst ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to security policies and organizational values.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:
Creates, maintains, and owns infrastructure related technical specifications, designs, and schedules with minimal direction
Forges strong relationships across departments, communicates infrastructure needs and interests to project teams and business unit partners
Installs new /rebuilds existing servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
Designs, reviews, analyzes, develops, implements, and maintains complex software applications and services
Maintains current applications which include, but is not limited to, deploying bug fixes and feature enhancements, researching/troubleshooting issues, and performance tuning
Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions
Researches and recommends innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks
Researches and implements new technologies and patch sets to enhance current processes, security, and performance
Identifies approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
Develops and maintains system and application documentation with regard to troubleshooting, maintenance, start/stop, logging, etc.
Develops and maintains installation and configuration documents
Contributes to and maintains system and security standards
Creates infrastructure engineer related solutions for various projects and operational needs
Works closely with software architects to ensure decisions meet long term enterprise growth needs
Participates in a duty rotation providing 24 x 7 support for production systems and applications
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
3 years of experience with Windows-based Server (2003/2008 and 2012)
3 years of experience in application administration, monitoring, and supporting
3 years of experience with VMware/hypervisor

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Windows-based Server 2003/2008 and 2012
5+ years of experience in application administration, monitoring, and supporting
5+ years of experience with VMware/hypervisor
MCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) &/or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) a plus
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification a plus
Professional level vendor certifications, such as ITIL, VMware, Microsoft, and/or Linux
Thorough understanding of enterprise system design challenges
Proficient in deployments. installations, configurations, maintenance, and patching of multiple application servers, such as apache-tomcat
Experience in Jboss and PostgreSQL is a plus
Experience implementing application & system monitoring tools
Understanding of Java applications and J2EE framework
Understanding of Identity Management, including with LDAP / Active Directory

Knowledge of Networking technologies, such as Sockets, TCP/IP, and UDP
Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure adherence to security standards
Demonstrated Agile methodology experience, including technology delivery methods
Knowledge of working in a SOX/PCI Compliance environment
Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances
Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
Proficient in technical documentation
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
