Job Description: Seeking an outgoing, multi-tasking go-getter to support the National and Local Sales Team. In addition to supporting the Sales Managers, assistant will maintain web trafficking for station’s clients and coordinate client production services. Position interacts with major advertising agencies and communicates with national rep firm. This position enters and revises advertising commercial contracts, proposes and resolves commercial makegoods enters and maintains all on-line web advertising sales. The position also communicates and schedules client news appearances, reviews and resolves billing discrepancies creates PowerPoint sales presentations and assembles media kits. Additionally, the position interacts with Account Executives, Media Buyers and News Department. This position also answers phones and covers for receptionist breaks.
Necessary Skills: Solid computer skills on PowerPoint, Microsoft Suite, Outlook and Excel. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail oriented, organized, flexible, and able to multi-task, candidate should be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision, fast and accurate typing, and solid experience with office machines such as fax machines, copiers and computers. This is a position within the sales department and qualified candidates should be able to establish and build relationships with our clients. Position requires candidate to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and must have the ability to prioritize and complete projects within given deadlines. Candidate must have a desire to learn more about the television media sales industry. 1 to 2 years of office experience preferred
