Summary: The Industrial Market Manager will actively establish the strategic direction for stocking distribution in an effort to gain market share and manage the business for long term year over year growth. This role will be guided and report to the Director Industrial Sales - Eastern USA.
Valve Application Sales for the Industrial business sector that includes Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refining, Power, and additional Industrial markets
Build strong relationships with distributors, engineers, EPC, end users, process piping contractors.
Must have the ability to present products via power point and/or through a detailed conversation.
Utilize Salesforce CRM program to help manage the region for tracking accounts, contacts, projects, contractors, engineers.
Mechanically inclined and has an understanding of various valves and piping systems to discuss applications and recommend products.
A willingness to learn and develop product knowledge and understand competitive products.
Develop annual, quarterly and monthly sales plans for a clear strategy to execute in the markets of responsibility.
Understanding the market and market trends to report up to management.
Attend industry meetings, trade shows, functions and events.
Willingness to travel daily and overnights to manage the assigned geography.
BS/BA Degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or mechanical engineering or related field experience required.
4+ years of sales experience with in a related field.
The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to speak and present well in public is required.
General computer skills required. Excel, Word and Power Point.
Strong leadership characteristics.
Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
Requires constructive and solid judgments.
Possesses knowledge of sales channels – distribution, contractor, end-user, specifying engineers, etc.
Complete familiarity with the technical and feature advantage of Apollo products.
Possesses knowledge of valve and piping systems, products, applications, specifications automation systems, industrial manufacturing, mechanical contractors and PVF distribution.
Possesses knowledge of competitors’ products.
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
