The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Fort Detrick, Maryland conducts basic and applied research to develop products, information, procedures, strategies, and training programs, and provides for medical defense against biological threats and naturally occurring infectious diseases of military significance that require biocontainment.

The Information Management Division purpose is to enable the research vision of USAMRIID with first-class computer and communication services. This is accomplished by providing IM/IT management, strategic planning, IM/IT infrastructure, software application development and sustainment, communication, network, information assurance compliance and Help Desk services.

We are seeking an Audio Visual Technician/Conference Room Coordinator to work with USAMRIID to maintain visual information conference room equipment and coordinate customer scheduling of conference room facilities.

Responsibilities Include:
Setting up and adjusting audio-visual equipment
Performing routine maintenance, and assisting in editing tapes.
Works with producers/directors on design, testing, installation and positioning of equipment and props for live events or meetings.
Installation of cabling, including soldering and terminations where required
Install software upgrades completion of post installation assessments
Maintains accurate record of equipment inventory and troubleshoots equipment problems.
Installation and de-installation of Video conferencing / Audio visual hardware configuration of endpoints and Audio Hardware
Perform on site User Acceptance testing / provide end user training Liaising between site contact and EOS head office, providing onsite reports.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study
Experience in operation of multi-media conference room equipment and in coordinating and scheduling video teleconferencing and ensuring resources are available as required; desired
Experience in troubleshooting multi-media equipment; desired
Must have a current A+ certification
Must be able to pass a NACLC
Must be a US citizen
