The Associate-Designer is responsible for delivering a variety of finished designed pieces including advertising, brochures, and other creative materials that represent Lilly brands and business functions. In partnership with Creative Services team members and other Lilly USA business partners, the Associate-Designer will develop a variety of resources to be leveraged across multiple print and digital platforms and audiences, internally and externally.
The Associate-Designer reports to the Director, Marketing Creative and Production Services.
Works collaboratively with Creative Services team members to understand the creative needs of internal business partners
Creates print and digital tactics derived from existing tactics or new tactics to meet requirements and specifications as defined by Project Owners
Prepares design options according to project briefs and communication medium
Provides final layouts and instructions for print execution as needed
Answers questions and provides consultation to employees to assist in their understanding and consistent application of brand guidelines
Ensures the appropriate licensing of photos for new tactics and uploads finished files to the appropriate asset management database
Follows the appropriate review processes prior to final production for all creative assets

Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related degree
3+ years of creative agency experience as a member of the creative team
3+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and Photoshop)

Competence with standard IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite – MAC platform)
Candidates will be expected to supply samples of their portfolios to demonstrate expertise

Internal Candidates: No CPP or GPP violations over the most recent two year period
Solid understanding of the print and digital production process
Graphic design background with an eye/knowledge of page layout
Understanding of typography, type treatment, color and print production
Demonstrated ability to apply practical or technical knowledge and experience to visual brand issues where no direction is given
Competence with standard IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and deal with rapidly changing priorities
Meticulous attention to detail
