Job Summary: The Social Media Content Creator will develop and execute creative, goal-oriented social campaigns and content that will engage and support our Wawa community. Identify social media trends and uncover untapped opportunities that will deliver measurable results. Work closely with the Community Management Lead to create content that engages our customers on a daily basis.
Brainstorm and develop innovative content and campaign ideas that achieve marketing goals.
Craft and curate visual assets to be shared across social channels, optimizing for engagement by channel.
Write effective copy across multiple owned social channels.
Manage day-to-day social content production, execution and tracking. Be a steward of Wawa’s brand and voice.
Actively test, optimize, and evolve our social media strategy across channels.
Collaborate with internal teams to make social media a key component of all campaigns.
Research and understand how competitors use social media in a marketplace environment. Research new social media opportunities to reach our audience.
Attend and cover Wawa events as determined.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in a creative field preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in social media, with experience managing and building multiple social channels with large followings.
Previous experience working with third party social media measurement and scheduling programs.
Some experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other Adobe programs is a plus.
Previous experience writing brand copy in a marketing and/or social media environment.
