Job Summary - Medical Device Sales Associate

As an Exclusive Distributor of Stryker Orthopedics, WestPac Surgical is hiring for Medical Device Sales Associate positions, which is a 18-24 month training program designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and training necessary to run your own territory business. You will be challenged daily as you work with surgeons and hospitals to support our orthopaedic business.

This field is highly competitive and highly lucrative for the people who meet the challenges presented. Orthopedics is a field that does not stop and often goes into nights and weekends. This is an on-call position and not an 8-5 job. Do not apply if you have reservations about working evenings or weekends. Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Learn orthopaedic surgery including anatomy, implants & instrumentation, operating room protocols and guidelines, etc.
  • Complete & maintain on-boarding duties such as compliance training, drug test, vendor credentialing, etc.
  • Assist Sales Representative in meeting and exceeding business targets.
  • Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representatives, as needed.
  • Complete Field Associate training program including, formal training, product knowledge competency, and field training goals.
  • Work with sales teams to call on customers as necessary to identify sales opportunities and provide customer service.
  • Assist in account problem resolution.
  • Maintain training in sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Maintain knowledge of the industry, customers, and competitive trends.
  • Participate in and attend sales meetings, courses, labs, and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.
  • Comply with business principles (including AdvaMed): maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information; protect the assets of the organization; act with ethics and integrity; report non-compliance; and adhere to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements, and WestPac Surgical and Stryker policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Work Experience Required

  • 1-2 years demonstrated success in a direct sales (B2B) role; preferred experience in medical industry
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining relationships; prefer experience developing relationships with surgeons & hospitals in respective areas
  • Demonstrate a high level of business acumen including proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as excellent follow up with customers, teammates, and company leadership.

Salary: $55,000.00 /year
