At LS&Co we’re embarking on a multi-year business transformation program to position the company for long term success in the changing retail environment. The goal is to transform our supply chain, commercial operations and technology platform by implementing a scalable set of global processes using industry-leading software solutions. The scale and complexity of our business and system landscape make it an extremely challenging and exciting environment to work in.
As a Solution Architect within the Global Supply Chain organization within LS&Co IT you’ll manage the overall solution design for large-scale projects. You will be required to collaborate with software engineers, business partners , domain architects and leadership to achieve robust solutions that are aligned with our technology and business capability road maps. You are a hands-on leader who is passionate about technology and delivering value through technology.
You will have broad responsibilities across the Logistics and Distribution space; helping us to develop the supply chain of the future. Working within a different mix of 3PL WMS operations and O&O DCs with multiple legacy WMS, your primary focus will be to lead the Manhattan WMS (WMOS) implementation within the O&O framework, while supporting integration with 3PL provided WMS, help shape our TMS strategy and support the continued build out of our Logistics capabilities.
Provide expertise and content knowledge on logistics and distribution processes across wholesale, retail and omnichannel operations
Use domain knowledge and Manhattan WMOS technical expertise to develop an WMS architecture that supports current and future business needs for our O&O operations globally
Collaborate with 3PL suppliers in integrating their solutions with LS&CO enterprise systems
Collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop a distribution roadmap that supports the our priorities across Logistics, Warehouse Management and Transportation
Develop project level solution architecture and system concepts
Participate in architecture design reviews
Collaborate with business partners , Subject Matter Experts ( SME ) and other stakeholders to establish and document business requirements
Understand the functional intent of business requirements
Translate functional requirements into a technical solution that supports the e2e business process.
Lead efforts to scope and estimate technical deliverables
Manage the Essential Design Decision Process and Design Escalations
Collaborate closely with domain architects and other solution architects to ensure that the solution architecture aligns with technology and business capability roadmaps
Develop technical designs in partnership with the development team(s) that align with technology standards and architecture principles.
Perform software inspections and design reviews.
Ensure that technical and other non-functional requirements are designed into the end-to-end solution.
Mentor resources working on technical solution and act as the point person for cross-project technical issues/resolution
Ensure development is following the solution design
Oversee operational readiness and implementation strategy
Document technical debt and Identify opportunity to alleviate it
10+ years working in Information Technology, preferably with experience implementing Logistics, Warehouse Management and TMS solutions.
5+ years’ Supply Chain architecture experience at vertically integrated retail businesses; ideally working in an apparel and wholesale environment.
A solid understanding of essential Supply Chain trends.
A strong technical background and a passion for technology.
Solid understanding of supply chain processes; in relation to Inbound & Outbound Logistics, Distribution and Transportation.
Knowledge of how a distribution center operates and how the functional processes can be configured and supported in the Warehouse Management system(s).
Detailed knowledge of one or more Warehouse Management packaged solutions; including JDA or Manhattan.
Experience building integration with ERPs ( ideally SAP) and other enterprise systems.
An understating of different integration methodologies including ETL, EDI, asynchronous messaging and service-based integration patterns.
Experience developing service based, message based and batch integration architectures using tools such as SAP PO, BODS, MQ, IBM Sterling, Mule Soft, Informatica, FTP, AS2.
Some cloud platform experience (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) would be helpful.
Experience guiding our development teams at onsite and offshore locations.
MBAPreferred or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
