Position Overview
Builds a strong evidence-based, trauma-informed practice that assists, supports, and advocates for survivors of domestic violence, that promotes trust and communication between survivors and the judicial and law enforcement systems, that weaves together a supportive network of formal and informal community-based resources for survivors, that provides outreach and education to survivors and the community-at-large, and that develops and supports the agency’s capacity for ongoing and expanded service.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Leadership:
· Develops and cultivates relationships with allied professions (Police, Fire Department, Human Services, Children’s Services, Guidance Counselors, Teachers, etc.)
· Cultivates existing relationships with formal and informal community partners in the county or counties served with the goals of building a strong network for effective resource linkage, of facilitating a coordinated community response to domestic violence, and of strengthening outreach to survivors and of ensuring sufficient quality resources and access to services.
· Initiates and/or participates in agency-wide events and provides training to allied professionals and awareness-raising educational events to different groups throughout the county/counties served.
Team Participation:
· Participates in training in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice for survivors of domestic violence.
· Keeps abreast of latest developments in best practice with survivors of domestic violence and shares with team.
· Contributes articles and activities of interest to the WRAP community.
Direct Service to Clients:
· Provides trauma-informed best practice to survivors of domestic violence in keeping with WRAP’s evidence-informed practice model.
· Identifies and implements evidence-informed practices in and innovative approaches to working with survivors of domestic violence and supports implementation of new programs and practices to facilitate improved outcomes for survivors.
· Makes warm referrals to other service providers within and outside of WRAP as needed, available, and appropriate.
· Follows established performance standards of quality and tracks/evaluates performance to assure effectiveness and efficiency.
· Participates in agency meetings and contributes to agendas.
· Serves on the Crisis or Residential On-Call Team
· Develops an action plan with goals and outcomes for every survivor receiving in-person services.
· Maintains timely, accurate, and complete case records for every survivor served.

Educational Requirement:
BSW or equivalent with at least 2 years’ direct experience; MSW preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,500.00 - $40,000.00 per year
