After building our brand for more than a decade online, Amerisleep is expanding operations to retail and distributors overseas. This means a lot of new revenue flow from a variety of sources. We are in need of a talented numbers specialist to oversee our expanding financial operations.

As our Accounting Clerk, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring all of our financial details are accurate and reported correctly. You will maintain accounts, payments and track sales from all of our revenue outlets. You’ll have the unique opportunity to build a strong support foundation for our operations team - we’re talking entering financial data, managing international conversion rates, sales taxes, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities

Manage and track all accounts payable and receivable from vendors and customers.
Input transaction data and changes into financial reports.
Maintain financial reports. Be ready at any moment to pull data and present financials to leadership.
Provide support and answers to all financial inquiries. You’ll be the go-to for processing refunds, resolving payment issues, addressing fraudulent claims, and more.
Be an effective communicator. Listen, learn, and engage customers and vendors to ensure all of their financial questions are answered.
Maintain professional and friendly communications. Whether over the phone, over email, or in-person, we want to ensure our customers, vendors, distributors, and partners receive the best, courteous, service possible.
Manage multiple customer and vendor accounts.
Be a team player. We’re a small but powerful team. Team support and engagement is expected from all of our employees.

Qualifications

Highly organized and detailed oriented in nature.
Punctual work ethic with a “can-do” mentality.
Skilled with cloud applications and office technology.
Understanding of sales tax rates and currency conversion rates.
Honesty and integrity are essential. You will play a critical role when it comes to sales transactions and company financials.
Goal oriented, self-reliant, and professional.
Demonstrate a great attitude and enthusiasm for helping customers.
Active learner who loves finding ways to improve your skills.
Strong communications skills (written and spoken).
Must be flexible and adaptable in order to address changes in customer orders or vendor partnerships.
Proficient in multitasking, so you can successfully engage multiple tasks at a time.
Maintain a positive attitude throughout the day and be prepared to change gears or repeat process as needed.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least 1 year of experience as an accounting clerk, bookkeeper, accountant, or similar position.
At least one year of experience of maintaining reports in Excel or Google Sheets.
Previous experience with Quickbooks or similar accounting software preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or G Suite.
Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
Knowledge of international currency conversion rates, state, and local taxes.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
