We count on our Legal team to work in close alignment with all internal business units to provide excellent Legal support and solutions to our global user community. Our Legal Intern will have at least 1 year of experience working with people, some familiarity with the law related to SaaS and technology products and contracts, and have completed their first year of law school. In this role, you will learn and shadow attorneys to review, compile, analyze, compare and interpret customer license agreements; research current contracts for special language on issues like liability, indemnity, warranties, and other provisions; and perform other duties as assigned.

THE SKILL SET
1+ years experience in working with people and familiarity of the law related to SaaS and technology products and contracts.
Ability to maintain confidential company information.
Passion for relationship building and a desire to learn about the law related to SaaS and technology products and contracts.
Comfortable working cross-functionally within an organization and completing administrative tasks.
Efficient with time management, various office software, and collaboration technologies such as Google
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
A desire to learn and advance in a fast-paced environment, and be capable of regularly using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.
Bachelor’s degree and first year of law school completed required.
Must be able to work at least 20 hours/week Monday through Friday during standard business hours (8:00am – 5:00pm).
WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL
Develop a working relationship with the assigned Xactly Legal staff.
Work with the Legal staff to learn the systems we use.
Complete administrative tasks in support of Xactly’s Legal team.
BY THE END OF THE INTERNSHIP, YOU’LL
Learn how to review, compile, analyze, compare and interpret customer license agreements.
Learn how to research current contracts for special language on legal and business-related issues.
Learn how to review legal documents for legal sufficiency.
Learn light project management.
Business communication and correspondence.
Be exposed to complex legal issue resolution techniques.
