As Assistant Director, you are primarily responsible for leading a team in delivering high quality food and service to college age students, faculty & staff at a residential dining operation, several branded retail food concepts, catering and events. This manager reports directly to the Director of Dining Services and is responsible for the implementing and maintaining the operational standards through a consistent, organized and engaged approach.
Manager is heavily involved in employee hiring, on-boarding, scheduling and development as part of the management team. They have a critical role in working with the Director to manage results by successful implementation of systems, navigating issues and removing barriers so that the team can provide exceptional service to our customers and clients. Successful candidates need to posses the qualities and experience to balance their creative spirit with delivering consistent results by managing to set standards. Ability to effectively lead and develop a team of managers, supervisors and 30-40 hourly associates is key.
This Manager must posses the skills to be an effective communicator (both written and verbal), successfully manage details, creative thinker and critical problem solver, and solid organizational leadership skills. Supports other dining initiatives within the college campus dining program as part of a team of managers.
