The Director of Intermediary Marketing leads a team of marketing managers who serve as liaisons and marketing subject matter experts to the Individual Solutions Group Sales & Distribution team at Prudential. An exceptional relationship manager, this leader will demonstrate strong negotiation, collaboration and decision-making skills to drive the development of strategic marketing plans across a variety of distribution channels. Leveraging insights and data, the Director understands the needs of internal and external partners and is accountable for driving targeted business results across his/her team. A student of the industry and practice, this position is critical to driving engagement with intermediaries and the Sales organization alike. He/she will partner with the VP, Intermediary Marketing and others to provide input in the development of strategic capabilities (including lead generation and marketing automation), identify partnership model to align with business objectives, and measure and report results to illustrate impact to the organization.
In this role, you will:
Lead and evolve the implementation of a new engagement model between the team and sales partners to enable outstanding partnership and results
Leverage marketing best practices such as customer segmentation, marketing automation, market analytics, and product understanding to guide team in the development of campaigns and initiatives
Collaborate across Individual Solutions Group (ISG) Sales organization to ensure deep coordination of efforts that support selling processes and account nuances, identify lead generation opportunities, and serve as “voice of the intermediary” to the broader marketing organization
Lead channel marketing efforts to drive revenue from strategic distribution partners
Partner with internal constituents in marketing to help drive the needs of intermediary marketing
Work with sales organization to understand strategy and focus to align marketing activities in support of sales goals
Engage selectively with Broker Dealers/Firms to understand firm objectives and identify marketing opportunities
A four-year degree is preferred with 8+ years B-to-B and/or B-B-C marketing experience highly desired
Demonstrated excellence in leading and nurturing talent
Demonstrated success in collaborating across functional teams, negotiating in a matrixed organization, building strong relationships with business partners and designing creative solutions
Very strong oral and written communication skills and a passion for understanding how best to influence the customer journey in the purchase of life insurance
Prior success with taking intelligent risks and is comfortable working autonomously
Functional knowledge of Annuity products, services, distribution and market environment desired or financial services experience
Series 6 required
