Job Purpose:
  • Partner with the Business Lead with setting and executing on the strategic direction for AdvantEdge
  • Perform due diligence activities for acquisitions and strategic partnerships including implementing due diligence review process, formation of cross-enterprise due diligence teams, development of recommendations based on due diligence results.
  • Manage integration process and timeline working with cross-enterprise integration teams and development of recommendations based on integration and due diligence work.
  • Partner with Corporate Development team with all due diligence and integration efforts to maximum value-add business impact as well as other internal business experts.
  • Use best practices of internal and external business issues to improve AdvantEdge Analytics product and services.
  • Prioritize initiatives and make trade-offs based on business impact
  • Serve as day-to-day partner with cross-functional and project teams across the enterprise to drive the initiative forward; troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide cross functional teamwork for the overall initiative

Job Responsibilities:
  • Understand general requirements in terms of overall contribution to business value
  • Perform due diligence activities for acquisitions and strategic partnerships
  • Implement due diligence review process for AdvantEdge Analytics, formation of cross-enterprise due diligence teams, development of recommendations based on due diligence results.
  • Manage integration process and timeline working with cross-enterprise integration teams and development of recommendations based on integration and due diligence work.
  • Evaluate potential targets in conjunction with Corporate Development team to make prioritization decisions for acquisitions and/or partnerships.
  • Develop a strong working relationship/rapport with the Corporate Development team as well as other key integration subject matter experts across the business
  • Measure and understand the customer experience with competitors by reviewing available data including primary research results, win-loss business analysis, and front line employee feedback.
  • Analyze and disseminate key insights, ensuring resulting insight is reliable and actionable.
  • Facilitate data-driven, fact-based decision making
  • Maintain market intelligence information to efficiently organize and share market, industry, and competitor information with the AdvantEdge team and across CUNA Mutual Group.
  • Help in executing on the overall vision and objectives of the strategy
  • In partnership with Legal, Corporate Development, and other teams; execute on our strategies (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, integration plans, and competitive intelligence)
  • Build awareness internally, including ensuring that business partners (e.g., enterprise data governance, legal, compliance, risk management, etc.) are familiar with product vision and business potential
  • Prioritize decisions quickly, accurately, and effectively, with clear view of the business impact of those decisions

Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or preferably in a related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years significant experience M&A activity as well as 3-5 years’ experience leading large scale due diligence and/or integration management projects.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the relationships between the functional areas of a business, including operations, finance, IT, HR, legal, communications and sales and marketing.
  • Demonstrated capacity for strategic and critical thinking through a quantitative framework
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and distill the results of complex intelligence to communicate to non-technical constituents
  • Strong business acumen
  • Requires strong inter-personal skills and the ability to lead/manage a cross-enterprise team.
  • Experience and comfort working in a dynamic environment with agile teams, where not all requirements or analytic insights are defined initially
  • Prior successful experience working on initiatives effectively, even with vague or incomplete initial requirements
  • Strong project management, communication and presentation skills
