Universal Brand Development is the business segment of NBCUniversal that extends the NBCU properties to merchandise, live entertainment, games and publishing. The Senior Director, Live Entertainment Operations is responsible for designing and developing the operational framework for the Live Entertainment segment of the business. Live Entertainment oversees Live Events, Exhibitions, Retail Entertainment, Character Appearances and Interactive Experiences, worldwide. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of the live entertainment, licensing and retail landscape globally.
Lead the design and development of the processes, workflow planning and project management for Live Entertainment teams
Lead and drive the project management discipline within Live Entertainment, utilizing U-Plan to develop global calendars, trackers and partner/vendor lists
In partnership with Business Leadership, Live entertainment creative and product – drive the development of Live Entertainment Toolkits and Guidelines
Develop the communication matrix for the Live Entertainment team. Establish communication check-ins with cross functional teams, US and International, to ensure visibility and alignment on Live Entertainment initiatives.
Identify and map approval process by IP
In partnership with Franchise Management, ensure the film maker and third party alignment and approval milestones are established and met
Develop performance metrics and business management tools, including data sources, reports, KPIs and budget tracking
10+ years of experience of brand operations or project management at a consumer products or live entertainment company required
Excellent understanding of brand and property positioning, retail business development and live entertainment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Project management leadership with creative planning and business development background, as well as financial management
Strategic thinker, with experience within a global licensing company, including consumer products, live events
Transparent, flexible, agile approach to business project management, activations, cross functional collaboration, workflow design and execution
Change Management experience
Budget optimization experience
Project management qualification a plus
