The Software Developer is responsible for working in a team environment supporting various software applications. This position will work within an applications development and maintenance team and assist in providing technology solutions to address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments, using mature programming methodologies and languages. Adherence to coding standards, procedures and techniques is considered a key attribute in this role.

Responsibilities

Analysis and Design
  • Assist in gathering requirements, analysis and design of new applications using the MOC software suite.NET framework, SQL Server, client side scripting languages etc.) based on the technical expertise at that moment
  • Participate in requirements elicitation, design process, design reviews and construction with peers as part of a project team
  • Adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques on all initiativesDevelop timelines to ensure that goals can be achieved in appropriate timeframes
Application, Development and Testing
  • Develop software using technologies involved in MOC software suite - ASP.NET web applications leveraging Visual Studio 2013 / 2015 (C#, VB.NET, ASP.net, .NET 2.0+, MS SQL Server, HTML/DHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Entity Framework) based on the technical expertise at that moment
  • Unit test all applications to ensure functionality and work closely with QA technical and test analysts on unit and functional testing
  • Actively develop new applications using MOC application software stack in response to established software requirements specifications
  • Identify problems or bottlenecks and work cooperatively to eliminate them
  • Identify those who we impact and meet with them to create mutual success
  • Prioritize work each day so that the most important tasks are completed
  • Quickly address problems and conflicts in a productive manner
Support and Maintenance
  • Perform support and maintenance on existing MOC application stack
  • Develop understanding and participate in support and maintenance activities w.r.t Mansfield enterprise architecture and framework (MIP, MDS etc.)

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR equivalent work experience required
Knowledge & Experience
  • 2 - 3 years demonstrated experience with ASP.NET web applications leveraging Visual Studio 2013 / 2015 (C#, VB.NET, ASP.net, .NET 2.0+, MS SQL Server, HTML/DHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Entity Framework)
  • Demonstrated understanding of WCF Web Service and RESTful web services utilizing the ASP.NET Web API framework
  • Strong SQL programming skills with MS SQL Server 2014 including the creation of complex database queries, & indexes
  • Experience in Creating Stored Procedures, User Defined functions, & Triggers in MS SQL Server
  • Exposure to Biztalk 2013 is preferred
  • Understanding of build automation, continuous integration, and source code branching strategies
  • Exposure to Agile development environment
  • Experience with TFS source code management tool.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and related tools
  • Fundamental understanding of RDBMS's and optimization techniques, preferably using Microsoft SQL server
  • Experience with business tier development on an enterprise software or commercial software project that involved large databases preferably involving multi user environments
  • Experience with development, testing & deployment of software solutions, including both user-interface and middle-tier processing
