Our growing technical business needs a temporary Data Management Analyst I to provide service-oriented support of configuration management and data management deliverables. We need a detail oriented resource who can work from written and or verbal instruction to accomplish daily tasking assignments. Assignments range from data entry, word processing, manipulating excel spreadsheets and auditing records. The ideal candidate will have experience working with engineering part attributes and related documentation.
Configuration Management (CM) emphasizes the functional relation between parts, subsystems, and systems for effectively controlling system change. CM verifies that changes are carried out as prescribed through the Engineering Change (EC) process and that published documentation of items and systems reflects their true configuration. Data Management (DM) emphasizes the management of data and document artifacts supporting Defense Program and Engineering Change process deliverables. Support will include hands-on work organizing and preparing Engineering data and Program Management data. The CM/DM Support resource will be responsible for timely participation in normal business operations to include but not limited to daily tasking, email, status reporting, timesheets, and training. The candidate will report to the CMDM Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support request for inventory item set up and document naming in support of configuration identification requirements.
Generate configuration status accounting (CSA) data from MRP reports and manipulation of excel spreadsheet to provide useable results.
Evaluate CSA data (as-built) against as-planned baseline to identify deltas.
Using MRP, research and note change artifacts authorizing CSA configuration variances.
Create and sustain technical data package in preparation of upcoming audits.
Provide word processing support to deliver configuration management plans, processes and procedures.
Designs, develops and establishes data management documentation based on program requirements
Assists in coordinating the development, implementation and maintenance of configuration management systems
Participates in design reviews, audits, schedules, budgets, etc.
Utilizes product data management tools
Assists in the preparation of contract data item submittals to established delivery schedules
Provides support to the Product Data Manager and Engineering technical staff
Responsible for regular reporting of progress and status
Communicate (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
May analyze proposed design changes to determine the effect on the overall system
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
2+ years of relevant experience
Associates degree in Engineering or Related technical field (CAD data systems) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing technical data packages
Ability to work independently under supervision of others
Good oral and written communication skills
General computer skills
Experience with CAD data systems desirable
