About the Role:
Our Diversified Products operating company is adding a Sr. Retail Sales Manager to the team who will focus on building and executing on a full product portfolio and channel strategy to redefine and improve profitability for our industry-leading plumbing products and solvent cements. Based in a remote capacity and reporting to our Director of Retail Sales, this person will be a strong partner to key sales channel partners like Home Depot, HD Supply and more. Our customers rely on IPS for their success, and you will lead our team of sales leaders, engineers, and marketers to take our customers to new levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Own the key strategic retail relationships with Home Depot, HD Supply and other select customers to drive opportunities for growth.
Achieve sales and margin targets for Home Depot, HD Supply and other select customers.
Identify and foster growth opportunities for each customer via most effective product placement and promotional opportunities.
Analyze sales reports to monitor top and bottom-line sales performance. Work with marketing team to jump start under-performing products and expand visibility and opportunities for well-performing products.
Develop, present, and recommend competitive sales opportunities for each customer.
Communicate, identify trends, and address individual account needs within supply chain.
Work with marketing to develop and maintain a winning strategy in sales, merchandising, packaging, and product development.
Capable of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value and able to proactively address those needs.
Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving sales goals.
Promote a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables.
Demonstrate initiative and brings new ideas to the company.
Use the IPS Business System to define and shape Key Performance Indicators and performance measurement.
Required Experience:
7+ years of experience in retail Big Box sales.
Bachelor's degree.
Experience collecting market and customer data to derive insights, developing strategy, and building product roadmaps for sustained growth through innovation.
Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, set strategy, and lead by influence.
Strong analytical abilities with a passion for data-inspired decision making.
You are organized and detail-oriented with experience managing multiple products simultaneously.
You build strong relationships, are a natural collaborator and love being part of a cross-functional team.
You are masterful in prioritizing effectively and making tradeoffs across a range of tasks and initiatives.
Have a growth marketing/optimization mindset; deeply analytical.
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and intellectual curiosity.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Preferred Experience:
History of sales success with Home Depot or HD Supply.
MBA degree
Experience in the plumbing, roofing, HVAC or water damage prevention industries.
