The Lead Commissioning Services Engineer will be responsible for developing prospective commissioning opportunities, creating and maintaining commissioning documentation, performing commissioning in the field, and interfacing with design teams, ownership teams and construction teams.
Performs technical reviews of MEP drawings.
Develops and prepares project-specific functional performance test procedures for various system types based on the sequence of operations, MEP drawings, and equipment submittals.
Performs point-to-point testing of building automation systems.
Schedules and runs commissioning meetings with contractors.
Manages commissioning issues log and follows through on contractor corrections.
Performs technical review of test and balance report.
Generates formal commissioning report documents including pre-site commissioning reports, site commissioning reports, and final commissioning reports.
Performs building energy audits on existing buildings.
Provides recommendations and feedback regarding the design, equipment selection, test and balance requirements, maintainability, and potential enhancements of the system.
Prepares proposals for new commissioning and energy auditing work.
Manages client relationships, and works with internal accounting staff for invoicing and collections for commissioning projects, etc.
Possesses a solid understanding of building mechanical systems (including central plant systems).
Is experienced with MS Word, Excel and reviewing trend data.
Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with other disciplines working on the project.
