Postdoctoral Researcher in Neurobiology

National Institutes of Health - Bethesda, MD (30+ days ago)4.3

We are recruiting a post-doctoral fellow to investigate photoreceptor physiology and molecular mechanisms underlying signaling in the retinal circuitry. The position will be in the Photoreceptor Physiology Group (https://pahlberglab.com) led by Dr. Johan Pahlberg at NIDCR, in close collaboration with Dr. Anand Swaroop, Chief, N-NRL at NEI (https://nei.nih.gov/intramural/nnrl). The Pahlberg lab is interested in elucidating how rod photoresponses are processed and parsed into the retinal circuitry by integrating physiology with genetics.

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, physiology, biophysics, or related fields, with strong social skills and the ability for oral and written communication.Astrong background in electrophysiology, molecular and computational biology, and programming are highly desirable. Please submit a curriculum vitae, one-page statement of research interests, and the contact information for three references.
