The Vice President, Strategic Alliances will lead our team’s responsible for System Integrators (SI), Accounting Firms with Technology Practices (ACP), and Marketing & Sales Partners (MSP). This person will have responsibility for our go‐to‐market strategy and channel sales revenue for US and Canada. The VP will drive strategy and execution of programs to grow the partner network and is responsible for the programs and revenue across these partners. The VP is expected to lead the partner team, and collaborate with sales team, publisher channel teams, marketing team, product development, business development, and services teams, to run a fully integrated channel partner strategy and ecosystem. This role is a senior leadership role that is a high‐impact, partner revenue generating management position that plays an integral role in the success of the overall sales team and company.
Some of the things you’ll be doing include …
Develop and implement the overall channels strategy for the field and company.
Manage programs to maximize net new sales revenue from across all channel partners.
Responsible for creating and driving Avalara channel programs, including assisting with program definitions, oversight, pricing, and channel resources
Work directly with cross functional teams to develop channel marketing programs, partner product certification, training, collateral, etc.
Leadership and management of assigned channel team including resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management
15+ years’ channel experience working for or with Software Integrators, Accounting Consulting Practices, or Value Added Resellers from publishers like OracleNetsuite, SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Infor, IBM, Acumatica, Magento, and Zuora, and others.
Energy and Enthusiasm. Experience with building, developing and growing channel life cycles.
Technically Savvy. Experience with analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling, or business intelligence preferred.
Experienced. Bachelor's Degree with a technical or business focus preferred.
