Full Job Description
SCAD seeks an experienced director to oversee the student conduct process for its Savannah location and provide guidance for conduct officers, staff, and faculty at the university’s other global locations.
In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in nurturing a positive environment. Working alongside faculty, staff, and students, you will investigate reports of potential conduct violations, counsel students (both victims and offenders) on their rights and responsibilities, and determine sanctions for students found responsible for violating university policies. You will adjudicate cases involving on- and off-campus students, provide training and indirect supervision to residence life staff on conduct process-related issues, and serve in on-call rotations for SCAD Savannah, to include emergency response and guidance. As a director of student conduct, you will also develop, implement, and maintain student conduct assessments to improve the quality of service provided to students, as well as develop appropriate forms, manuals, procedures, reports, educational sanctions, and data assessments to support a positive environment and consistent policy implementation, among other duties.
Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, or a related field
Four to 10 years of related experience/training with student conduct, residence life and housing, or work in a university setting
