Under the direction of the CEO and in collaboration with other members of the executive team, the VP of Business Operations is responsible for translating the organizations vision into actionable plans and laying a solid foundation for execution. He/she will successfully integrate all major functions of the business in alignment with organizational goals and core values. The VP of Business Operations will ensure adherence to the organization’s core processes and operating system through proper alignment of resources and priorities, establishing clear objectives and ensuring cadence and consistency throughout all business units. With a strong focus on internal efficiency, he/she will ensure the company's operational procedures are sustainable and profitable while building a world-class team. This position necessitates hands on involvement in developing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive operational policies, procedures and programs to ensure achievement of financial and service delivery goals.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies and articulates bottlenecks, problems, roadblocks/barriers and internal disconnects
Directs and facilitates execution of operations in accordance with Trash Butler’s internal/external service standards
Creates measures for improving business processes, monitoring and analyzing vendor and supplier relationships
Reviews financial statements and activity reports to ensure objectives are achieved
Leads budget development efforts that are aligned with corporate-wide goals
Leads the messaging, implementation and compliance of existing or proposed company policies and related programs
Plans, organizes and directs special projects or assignments as needed
Market Insight/Strategic Orientation
Develops and implements strategic business plan that effectively cascades down to the business unit level
Identifies and responds to customer, market and industry changes/trends that impact existing services or markets
Analyzes performance and operations to determine areas of cost reduction and process improvement
Ensures key messages are effectively cascaded across the organization
Communicates and integrates the company’s culture, values, philosophy and strategic objectives in context of each respective business unit
In collaboration with HR, monitors and responds accordingly to employee trends within business unit, i.e., employee turnover, employee morale, employee satisfaction and organizational conflict
Leads, evaluates and develops a leadership team in their efforts to meet operational goals and key performance objectives
Promotes a performance culture through goal setting and development planning
Coordinates cross functional collaboration for purposes of promoting positive employee morale and a sense of community company-wide
Participates in the recruiting and selection process as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Minimum 10 years of 2nd level management experience with consistent track record of expanding responsibility
Practical knowledge of all major functions in an organization (Operations, Sales and Finance)
Experience managing a national decentralized workforce
Business/financial acumen consistent with level of responsibility (ability to recognize market and financial trends/patterns and utilize findings to support business plan development, forecasting and budget activities).
Prior experience developing and implementing operational strategies consistent with high growth environments
Adept in resolving interdepartmental conflict resolution/mediation
Prior experience with organizational development (OD) or leading change management initiatives consistent with high growth environments
Adept in project management
Proven success in growth and development of others
BS degree in business or related field preferred
Knowledge of/experience in the in Multifamily Housing Industry is a plus but not required
