Human Resource Assistant II - Employee Records

What You’ll Do:
Updates and maintains highly confidential employee and non-employee data (e.g., salary, department, job title, leaves) in the Human Resource Management System (PeopleSoft) and the Ball Corporation Personnel and Payroll system (ADP Globalview).
Reconciles and audits reports for all changes to employee data.
Ensures accuracy among different systems.
Maintains appropriate files and records of all changes processed.
Data entry in a variety of systems (HRIS, Payroll, Finance).
Enters payroll deduction changes directly into the ADP Globalview payroll module (e.g., direct deposit, W-4, Health Club memberships).
Coordinates pay issues with Ball Aerospace Payroll and Ball Corporation Payroll Department personnel.
Responds to employee questions regarding employee records, personnel, benefits or general payroll questions.
Works on various projects, including report generation and data analysis (e.g., metrics, headcount reports).
Provides support for other Compensation & Human Resources functional areas.
Provides back-up support for HR Operations (e.g., administering recognition programs, processing payments, ordering supplies, tracking reviews, compiling information for audits, filing).
Maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units, and the Company.
Interacts appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Maintains a regular and predictable work schedule.
Performs other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:
High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 or more years of related experience.
Each higher level degree, i.e. Associate’s, may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access; SharePoint; HRIS (PeopleSoft preferred).
Must be able to handle sensitive-related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Must be a team player with excellent communication skills, computer skills, and a strong customer service orientation.
Must be able to multi-task and stay focused in a fast-paced environment and operate with a sense of urgency.
Must have strong attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
Ability to successfully partner and maintain a high level of credibility with Human Resources and other functions.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
