The IDI OSJ role is responsible for managing and reporting on the day to day supervisory operations of IDI. This role is responsible for ensuring IDI has appropriate controls and oversight to ensure its employees remain within compliance of both IDI and third-party distributor firm policies. In addition to these responsibilities, the IDI OSJ will serve as a liaison between business and compliance partners to help ensure both existing and future risks are comprehensively understood and mitigated as appropriate. Further, this individual will serve as an initial point of support for IDI employees with specific policy-related questions.

Required Skills
Support and assist with the creation, maintenance and updating of procedures for conducting supervision of the firm’s business.
Assist with the creation and review of IDI’s Gift Report to ensure compliance with FINRA regulations
Review and audit advisor expenses and entertainment to ensure IDI employees remain within firm and third-party distributor policies and proper documentation is maintained
Serve as primary subject matter expert and support for IDI for questions around IDI and/or third party firm policies
Assist with identification and resolution of any IDI compliance issues and raise awareness to problematic patterns detected in the course of conducting daily supervision.
Address supervisory issues and discrepancies with IDI management and its Compliance Department and field leaders, as necessary, to assure compliance with firm policy.
Help develop processes and resources to enhance IDI’s ability to assure compliance with the firm’s guidelines and rules.
Conduct other special supervision projects and assignments at the direction of IDI management.
Serve as project team member representing the business unit on compliance related initiatives
Responsible for ensuring employee Outside Business Activities, Conflict Waiver Requests and Compliance Certifications are properly documented and reviewed
Provide direct oversight to IDI’s Compliance Task Force for the review of mass email communication
Assist with the review of forms of written communication
Responsible for oversight and review of IDI’s use of screen-sharing/presentation technology (e.g. WebEx) to ensure its compliance with firm policy
Serve as a testing resource to audit existing reporting to ensure desired outcomes are captured
Stay current with changing industry rules and regulations

Required Experience
3+ years of experience with an asset manager, broker-dealer or other financial services company
Series 7 and 24 and/or ability to obtain licenses within 120 days
Highly organized and process oriented in order to facilitate detailed audit and reporting work
