The Model Risk Management Analyst is a technical/quantitative role that will assist with assessing and steering model risk at Allianz Life. This role will assist with model validation planning, perform model validation activities, and coordinate the resolution of the validation activities for actuarial, accounting, statutory, capital, investment, hedging, and other models. The role will also assess any applicable model governance. This position will work within a team and requires someone who is able to make and clearly present recommendations.
- Perform model validations, challenging the appropriateness of assumptions, models and modeling processes, and results
- Ensure activities and results are documented
- Maintain the model inventory, track relevant information
- Work with members of the model risk management team to organize work and move projects forward
o 3+ years:
Strong quantitative skills, experience developing, using, or validating models
o 4 year degree:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related technical or business field
o Advanced degree or certification:
Masters in related finance or applied mathematics field or Associate in the Society of Actuaries or similar/better. Further related education can compensate for less experience.
o Experience with or willingness to learn actuarial, accounting including IFRS, US GAAP, or similar, statutory, capital, investment, hedging, and other models
o Programming with (or related):
C#, R/Mathematica/MatLab, Database/SQL, VisMoses/RiskAgilityFM
