Summary

Responsibilities include stocking shelves with incoming goods and ensuring parts are properly packaged to avoid damage. Responsible for picking parts, handling and delivering parts to the shipping area. Good organizational skills are required in order to successfully perform cycle counts and to organize shelves in order to optimize space. The Lead Stock Clerk is also responsible for motivating the team, ensuring all tasks are complete by the end of the day and communicating to the Supervisor on a regular basis.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Receive incoming goods from Receiving Department, verify part numbers and store parts neatly in correct locations

Pick parts from stockroom shelves according to the pick list generated by Customer Service Representatives on a first in, first out (FIFO) system

Pick parts from stockroom shelves to fulfill production orders on a first in, first out (FIFO) system

Deliver picked parts to work in process area or shipping department

Count all parts that go in and out of stock.

Ensure correct stock counts for inventory items, make SAP adjustment as necessary

Assist in Red Tag process

Miscellaneous issue parts in and out of stock when requested and approved by Management

Perform other tasks as assigned

Experience

Previous experience with spare parts inventory management preferred. Previous leadership skills are preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license and Forklift Certification are required.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent
