J.D. or equivalent practical experience.
Admitted to the bar in which the role is located in and are in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law.
3 years of attorney-level experience in a law firm/house legal department.
Experience in legal issues related to kids (e.g., privacy, content safety, marketing, child safety, etc.).
5 years of relevant work experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
Background in one or more of the following: media, communications, intellectual property, privacy and contract law as well as demonstrated litigation experience.

As a Product Counsel for Google Play, you will work on a wide range of legal issues on a global scale related to kids and families initiatives, such as new products and feature launches, privacy, content safety, consumer protection, regulatory inquiries, marketing, child safety, and many other challenges relevant to kids and online content distribution. You will learn about kids and industry's attempts to address with the realities of providing online content and distribution services with users of all ages. You will thrive on variety, think through and manage issues on a global scale, and communicate clearly with a growing business unit.

Work closely with Engineering and Product Management and cross-functional teams to analyze and advise on product features and functionality of core and related products and services with a wide variety of legal issues related to kids (e.g., consumer protection, privacy, content regulation, child safety, advertising, etc.) on a global digital content distribution platform
Ensure compliance with global laws and regulations dealing with kids and consumer protection, privacy, content regulation, child safety, and advertising.
Work closely with cross-functional legal specialists to respond to regulatory inquiries, investigations, actions, litigations relative to kids on Google products and services including privacy, content safety, and consumer protection.
