Note: This is a 6-month, 40 hour per week contract.
The Senior Manager, Clinical Business Analytics is accountable for a comprehensive understanding of clinical trial scenario planning across a portfolio for projects and studies. Industry experience with clinical financial budget models for Phase 1-4 clinical including forecasting management, resourcing business analytics, and clinical budget forecasting. This position will report into the Associate Director, Clinical Business Analytics which is part of the Clinical Contracts and Outsourcing (CC&O) department. Both strategic and tactical execution are key to success in this role. The core duties and responsibilities of the Senior Manager, Clinical Business Analytics include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:

Creates algorithms based on historical information for data mining for future clinical trials costs.

Ability to provide insight & analysis of cost metrics to identify trend analysis.

Build costing benchmarks to use for high level clinical trials costing outputs.

Works with Clinical Operations on assumption inputs for clear understanding of protocol changes that have a budget impact.

Proficiency to understand and build clinical protocols in costing software.

Understanding of CRO bid information and the ability to analyze based on benchmarks and costing outputs.

Support the vendor selection process by performing CRO spend analyses and CRO bid comparisons, including developing financial models (e.g. ClearTrial), as required

Analyze new vendor RFPs, or vendor change orders for impact on budget and for reasonableness as compared to past/present similar work orders and approved rate cards

Understanding of cost impacts of ongoing and new sourcing initiatives and changes in the operational model.

Work cross-functionally to support Clinical Operations, Finance and Procurement to support financial analyses and data interpretation resulting in cost savings.

Synthesize detailed information from multiple, disparate sources and interpret the data to articulate key trends to executive leadership.

Compiles and reconciles historical costing data to create a database for comprehensive view of study trial budget.

Support due diligence opportunities, utilizing industry costing software and modeling tools to create multiple scenarios and development plans.

Develops reports and monitor metrics for the analytics/data and external budget.

Translates the usage of industry best practices, utilizing external sources such as benchmarking, data, and processes to continually drive improvements linked to an overall strategy.

Supports vendor governance/oversight/Quarterly Business Review Meeting by and outsourcing projects and contract management, as needed.
Qualifications:

B.A./ B.S., and/ or combination of at least 8+ years equivalent related business/ industry experience

Experience in Biotech/Pharm industry and/or Life Sciences, Finance, Clinical Research Organizations (CRO).

Solid understanding of drug development process including clinical trials in Phase 1 through 4 in global setting

Demonstrated experience with Clinical Trial financial modeling tools (Cleartrial, Clinical Maestro, Grants Manager, Grant Plan).
