The Wholesale Production Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Wholesale Processors and Underwriters by effectively handling all of the incoming new first mortgage applications. They will be responsible for handling, scanning, or distributing all incoming mail and documentation received, assigning all new loans to the Wholesale Processors, and handling all requests for cancellation, withdrawal requests, and loan denials in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The Wholesale Production Assistant is an entry level position.


Complete timely set up of all new first mortgages received from the Brokers
Conduct a thorough review of the loan application submitted to ensure all necessary data has been provided and that the transaction makes sense in order to proceed
Provide support to the Mortgage Processors by ordering appraisals, flood certs, title reports, and credit supplements as needed
Obtain all necessary data and information needed including property taxes, property assessments, HMDA, property deeds, credit report, and AUS decision
Maintain service levels for all wholesale processing support turn-times as set forth by management including but not limited to:
Member daily/weekly/monthly communication standards
Distribution of incoming loan documentation
Scanning and delivery of all incoming loan documentation to the Wholesale Processors
Work in collaboration and partnership with other team members
Additional job-related projects as assigned by Management

High School Degree or equivalent work experience required
Knowledge/experience with a paperless mortgage process is beneficial
Minimum 1-2 years of Wholesale Loan Set Up or Processing experience preferred
Knowledge of all recent RESPA , TILA and HMDA requirements is preferred
Knowledge of agency (FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA) guidelines and requirements, inclusive of FNMA DU and FHLMC LP is preferred
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail
Time Management skills and the ability to prioritize workload based on department SLA’s and member needs
Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit
Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team and ability to collaborate with others
Positive attitude and team-oriented spirit
Ability to function in an ever changing environment
