Currently, PMR Healthcare is in need of a motivated, experienced clinic manager in Indianapolis, Indiana.
PMR Healthcare’s Clinic Managers work in a multispecialty clinic environment. Though clinic programs vary by location and client, applicants can expect some combination of primary care, occupational care, and urgent care. Specific program details are provided during onboarding.
PMR Healthcare’s Clinic Managers receive guidance from PMR Corporate Management and Medical Directors, but many tasks require the ability to think on your feet and work autonomously. All applicants should be prepared to handle patient interactions and the day-to-day operation of the clinic.
The position of Clinic Manager at PMR Healthcare:
Is an administrative, non-physician role.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
Typically reports to corporate management.
Requires 3+ years of experience in a related area as an individual contributor.
Requires computer competency, including for MS Office products.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requires the ability to perform duties with little supervision.
Requires the ability to present concepts, programs and thoughts professionally in multiple environments.
Requires a desire to continue personal training and professional development.
Requires experience with or a willingness to learn EMR/EHR systems (AthenaHealth EMR is a plus).
Requires the ability to learn quickly on the job.
Requires a self-motivated individual.
Requires a customer service oriented professional.
Job Duties of a Clinic Manager at PMR Healthcare
Handle clinic operations on a day-to-day basis.
Prepare, monitor and adhere to budgets.
Oversee maintenance of the facility.
Personnel oversight, including: Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding, Appraisal, Disciplinary action and Offboarding.
Supervise professional and support staff, including performance management.
Establish and oversee billing practices.
Contribute to the development of processes and procedures.
Schedule professional and support staff to ensure adequate coverage of the clinic’s operating hours.
Create and present proposals, contracts, clinic updates, presentations, etc. to high level client and company representatives in meetings and conference calls.
Act as the client(s) primary local contact.
Assure that all HIPAA regulations are being adhered to.
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipts.
Keep equipment operating by: Following operating instructions, Troubleshooting breakdowns, Maintaining supplies, Performing preventive maintenance and Calling for repairs as needed.
Maintain a focus on continued education by engaging in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
Enhance the company’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different assigned requests.
Independently explore new opportunities to add value to the clinic’s and company’s operations.
Be proficient and knowledgeable of software and processes utilized by the clinic and the clinic staff.
Assist in all clinic operations within capability.
Translate contractual obligations into standard operating procedures.
May be made responsible for contracts or negotiations with insurance providers.
Training and Support
PMR employees will receive any necessary site-specific training, ongoing support, and medical direction from PMR Healthcare.

Understands clinic organization, scheduling, and professionalism.
Interpersonal Skills. Is good at answering patient and staff questions and addressing patient and staff concerns. Has good bedside manner and a patient/customer focused approach. Promotes good healthcare and maintenance with all patients and the staff.
Professional Experience. Has experience managing medical clinic(s). Is already skilled at multi-tasking, employee oversight, and administering medication. Is familiar with infection control as well as confidential patient record keeping. Can manage supplies well—knows what’s on the shelf, what to order, and what tools are required.
